Heyy been a bit, while I was gone I returned to animal crossing :D
As you can see, I didn't come back without sprucing up the game a lil. I added Rover and Meow as villagers. Both mods are on gamebanana and it was pretty easy to install once I understood luma mods. I also as you can see customized my character. You can actually have darker skin and textured hair using save editor. Also I'm blonde here but I lowkey hate how mustard looking it is :sob:

I installed a mod that also removes this dialouge from mabel, I just wanted to screencap it for funsies. Also kinda feeds into the roleplay aspect lmfao. I'd like to think Mabel stopped giving af after a while.
Besides that, once I get settled in my town I was thinking of doing a modded world video for fun.

Gonna play into the rock paper scissor element more. Playing it more safe, more pokes, making more reads. Gonna be using this primer as a jumping off point, I'm excited to see where I can take this.

Okay ENA Dream BBQ dropped, let's discuss lol. This will be spoiler free and any spoiler text will have a clickable sensor.
I beat this game and saw all the routes in about 3 hours. There is only one ending and all routes lead to the same ending.>Spoiler Tag
This is a very solid adventure game. I had no hiccups, there was only one puzzle that confused me. it was a very simple solution too, I just missed important text information.
The worlds are beautiful, I enjoyed a lot of the characters, and it kept that ena whimsy and curiosity. The main draw of ena for me is the adventures. So to have that translated to a video game is something I've always wanted. Maybe I'm biased in that sense but it felt like a breeze.
The only thing I have to note is, I want future updates and chapters to expand on the vibes and interactivity. This is basically the precursor to that I"m sure, I really wanna get lost in these worlds for future games.
Now let's talk about theories! This will contain spoilers

So, the big question is. What is the purge and why is the purge happening. It seems this is an event that everyone is aware about, and people like the witches in the beginning activily seek it out. 
A lot of motifs and dialouge in this town have to do with death, inhabiting multiple bodies, and religion. I think this purge acts as a rebirth similar to something like the rapture, like how ena rebirths multiple times and changes color or location. People like the wizard are completely aware of phenomenon like this, so I think Ena was assigned to finish the job. It's destined and hinted as such with the purple arachnid boy following Ena around and acting like as a guide/foil for each route and quest. You can't access the bridge without his interference. He follows you around if you take the taxi. At first I thought you were supposed to prevent the rebirth, the way the genie and others recognize Ena but also loath her made me feel like she's some type of world destroyer, but I don't think that's exactly on the money. Especially that everyone is so accepting of the purge as well as her job description being kinda vauge. The only thing that changes my mind is the intro cutscene. 
It's obvious this is not Ena's first rodeo. Is Ena someone we should fear, or does it not matter because you can't apply human sensibilities to entities that are detached from hummanity? I'm going to guess it doesn't hold as much weight. even then the genie did mention Ena struggles with fear and doubt. Almost as if again she has a habit of destroying worlds and soon enough that will be her doom. Only time will tell :o
Final closing note, I recommend this game. It's free and you don't need to be caught up on the webseries, so the entry barrier is low. Can't wait for CHAPT.2!
